Scryber vs DeepCura for Neurology Practices

Last verified October 3, 2026. Details about DeepCura come from deepcura.com and public listings; see Sources. Pricing and features change, so check both vendors before you buy.

The short answer

  • Scryber pairs a neurology-only AI scribe with built-in revenue visibility: every plan includes Visualyzer, which follows each visit from note to payment and flags undercoded visits and missed billing, for $85 per user per month. AI billing optimization (Optimyzer) is coming soon.
  • DeepCura bundles a scribe with an AI receptionist, fax, intake and coding for 50+ specialties, with Epic write-back and a free trial, at $129 per provider per month (less with volume or annual billing). It does not list payment or AR tracking.
  • Choose Scryber to connect neurology notes to revenue; choose DeepCura to automate the front office.

Revenue visibility: Scryber's core difference

Visualyzer is included in every Scryber plan. It follows each neurology visit from the note to the payment, shows outstanding claims and how long they have been aging, and flags visits that look undercoded or have missed billing opportunities. Optimyzer, an AI billing optimization product, is coming soon to the same platform. DeepCura's suite covers the front office (receptionist, fax, intake) and ICD-10/CPT coding. It does not list claims tracking, AR aging or payment visibility on its homepage or pricing page (October 2026). That is the main difference between the two: DeepCura helps you finish the note, and Scryber also shows you what the visit was paid and where revenue was missed.

Why choose Scryber

  • You want to see what happens after the note: each visit tracked through to payment, with outstanding claims and AR aging, in the same tool that writes the note
  • You want undercoded visits and missed billing opportunities flagged, not just codes suggested
  • You want a platform that is adding AI billing optimization (Optimyzer, coming soon) on top of documentation and revenue visibility
  • You see high volumes and prefer unlimited transcriptions to a monthly credit allowance

Neurology depth

DeepCura publishes a neurology ranking page that describes structured fields for the neurological exam, localization documentation and custom neurology templates. That page ranks DeepCura first; it is DeepCura's own content, not an independent ranking. Neurology is one of 50+ specialties DeepCura serves. Scryber is neurology-only, with exam structure, localization and disease measures such as EDSS and UPDRS built in rather than configured.

Front office vs. revenue

DeepCura's seat price covers much more than a scribe: an AI receptionist with a phone number, AI fax, intake questionnaires and an inbox, plus coding. If you want to automate the front office, that breadth is real value. Scryber covers a different part of the practice: the clinical note and the revenue that follows it.

EHR workflow

DeepCura names integrations with Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD and others, and describes FHIR R4 write-back into Epic. Scryber works with any EHR by copy-paste. If write-back matters, DeepCura is ahead.

Pricing

For a three-neurologist practice: DeepCura monthly volume pricing is $116 per seat for 3–5 seats, or $348 per month; annual billing is $999 per seat per year (about $250 per month for three). DeepCura plans include 1,000 credits per month across its AI agents, with $59 per month for more. Scryber lists at $255 per month for three users with unlimited transcriptions.

Who should choose DeepCura

  • Practices that want a scribe plus AI receptionist, fax and intake in one subscription
  • Practices that need Epic or athenahealth write-back
  • Multi-specialty groups and teams that want a free trial first

Switching or running both

There is no data to migrate for documentation. If you use DeepCura's receptionist or fax features, those would stay where they are or need a separate tool; Scryber does not replace them.

Frequently asked questions

Does DeepCura track practice revenue?

DeepCura does not list a revenue dashboard, payment tracking or AR reporting on the pages we checked (October 2026). Scryber includes Visualyzer, which follows each visit from note to payment and flags undercoded visits, in every plan, and is adding AI billing optimization (Optimyzer) soon.

Is DeepCura the best AI scribe for neurology?

How much does DeepCura cost?

As of October 2026, $129 per provider per month billed monthly, $999 per year billed annually, with volume pricing from 3 seats. Scryber is $85 per user per month.

Does DeepCura limit usage?

DeepCura plans include 1,000 credits per month across its AI agents, with an add-on for more. Scryber includes unlimited transcriptions.
